NAMIC to Roll Out New Voluntary Dental and Vision Benefits for Members and Directors
* Individual employees or directors can sign up for dental and vision benefits for as little as $ 3.27 per week.
* NAMIC vision and dental plans are voluntary employee paid programs with no participation requirement.
INDIANAPOLIS, September 3, 2004- NAMIC Insurance Agency (NIA) will accept enrollments for October 1, 2004 effective dates. NAMIC Insurance Agency(NIA) in conjunction with Spectera Vision and Assurant Employee Benefits (formerly Fortis Employee Benefits) will make available employee paid vision and dental benefits available to members of the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC) and their directors.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to fill a need for our members,” said Scott St. Clair, NIA’s business development manager. “NIA has leveraged the buying power of the NAMIC membership to negotiate rates and benefits inaccessible to individual member companies.”
“Employers are continuing to balance increasing benefit cost with corporate budgets”, continued St. Clair. “Vision and dental programs from NAMIC allow employers to focus attention on core benefit such as health and retirement, while still offering employees and their families access to affordable dental and vision insurance.”
Vision Benefits
The program provides coverage for exams and materials including contact lenses, bifocals lenses, and frames. Participants can choose from over 16,000 providers including private practice and retails chains such a Wal Mart and Eye Glass World.
Dental Benefits
Participants can choose from two benefit rich plans. Coverage for exams, cleanings, x-rays and basic maintenance provided by both plans. Participants have the option to “buy up” coverage for major services.
